Since India's independence in 1947, India's government chose religion as a criterion for citizenship by which the majority of religious groups have been affected in India. This policy has provided a huge authoritarian privilege for the Hindu Fundamental groups. The rise of Hindutva has led to internal displacement by which mob violence and the massive deportations have increased against Muslims in India. This study will look briefly at Muslims and Hindus's modern history in India to set the background for the need for such comparative studies. It will then explore the concepts of life, death, and life after death in these two religions' religious scriptures. The premise of this study is to conduct a comparative study between the abovementioned concepts as described in the religious scriptures of Islam and Hinduism. The opinions of the scholars and academicians of the two faiths are also studied. Peace is the need of the hour, so there is a need to encourage a sense of inclusivity. Peace at the macro-level has often been emphasised, but this thesis attempts to bring about peace at an individual level through social cohesion and interfaith harmony between these two prominent religions of India through dialogue and understanding. The Concept Of Life, Death And Life After Death: A Comparative Study Between Islam And HinduismThesis
