| dc.description.abstract | The prevalence of mental health issues, particularly Anxiety and Depression, among Muslims and Muslim Undergraduates is a growing concern, the Quranic verse "Indeed those who are the Allies of Allah almighty no fear shall befall them nor will they sorrow" (Yunus 10:62) forms the foundation of this study, illustrating how Alliance with Allah serves as a Coping mechanism against Anxiety and Depression. The methodology for this research was a qualitative design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and open-ended questionnaires from 30 Muslim participants from various international universities, selected through simple random sampling. The data for this research was analyzed through thematic and frequency analysis to identify patterns in Coping strategies and gender-based differences. Results show that Muslim Undergraduates use salah, dhikr, and Quranic recitation as key Alliance with Allah Coping mechanisms for Anxiety and Depression, supported by hope-centered verses. Females favor emotionally expressive Coping, while males adopt goal-oriented strategies. Regular salah engagement (73.3%) highlights the centrality of these practices in mental well-being. Frequently cited Quranic verses, such as “Indeed, with hardship comes ease” (Quran 94:6) and “Do not despair of Allah’s mercy” (Quran 39:53), provided psychological comfort and resilience. Recommendations for future research are for researchers to explore experiences in traditional versus online university settings to better understand unique challenges and Coping strategies through Alliance with Allah among Muslim male and female Undergraduates and research for the development of treatment programs that incorporate Quranic chapters, verses, and Hadiths cited by the participants. | |
