Development of Innovations (Bidah) in Bangladesh: Its Origin, Aspects, Causes, Effects and Remedies from Islamic Perspective

Abstract

The innovation or Bidah is a very harmful and devastating act in Islam. It is defined as the inclusion of new and invented things in the Shariah matters not in the worldly matters. It is the primary steps of Kufr or disbelief. Allah has completed our religion in the time of our beloved Prophet. But due to lack of proper education of Islam and ignorance people invented various Bidah in our religion Islam. This paper highlights how religious innovation or Bidah are developed in Bangladesh along with its Origin, Aspects, Causes, Effects and Remedies from Islamic Perspective. The method of the research paper will be qualitative approach. Islamic Books, Magazines, Journals and Articles from the library will be used as the primary sources of the study. Especially books written in Bengali language are used in this thesis after translation in English. The secondary sources will be the books, audio and video lectures of prominent Islamic Scholars from Bangladesh. Library research is a major area of study for this research paper.
