This study presents an overview of a research study that delves into the concept of predestination (Qadr) in Islam and its influence on the beliefs of Muslims. The research addresses the lack of consensus within the Muslim community regarding Qadr, which has been compounded by the impact of external religions and societies, resulting in the proliferation of sects and divisions. The primary objective of the study is to thoroughly examine the understanding of Qadr in light of the Holy Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. Additionally, the research aims to explore how predestination and free will are interpreted in other religions. Furthermore, it investigates the extent to which non-Islamic ideologies have affected the contemporary understanding of Qadr and proposes a comprehensive framework to mitigate these influences. The study employs a methodology that encompasses a historical analysis of religions, focusing on both Islamic and non-Islamic perspectives on predestination. It also considers the evolution of societies and the impact of commercialization on religious identities. By analyzing the viewpoints of various religions and societies, the study aims to shed light on the divergent interpretations of Qadr and its relationship with free will (Khan et al, 2015). Moreover, it investigates the deviation of certain groups from the understanding of Qadr established by the early generations of Muslims and examines whether these deviations were influenced by other faiths. Understanding the impact of other ideologies on Muslim beliefs in Qadr is crucial in the contemporary era, as access to conflicting and contradictory information has become more widespread due to advancements in technology (Lakhvi, n.d). Consequently, there is a pressing need to prioritize and educate current and future generations about the accurate understanding of predestination. Failing to address this issue may lead to conflicting ideas and a decline in adherence to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. Thus, this research study highlights the significance of reestablishing a unified understanding of Qadr based on the principles outlined in the Holy Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.
