Abstract

The research purpose is to trace the rise and development of Barelvism in India through the history of their founder, know about their main beliefs as well as their well-known organizations and institutions. In this study, we will identify the Barelvis' teachings and practices that are the major motives to accept Barelvism, which they have used as a tool to spread their beliefs- these beliefs are further scrutinized in the light of the authentic teachings of Islām. This analysis will enlighten the Muslims about the tactics adopted by the Barelvis to spread their creed in India and assist people to safeguard themselves from corrupt deviations. Particularly, if we had observed some of their main teachings, which they had spread, we notice that they have material benefits. Moreover, people are also searching for shortcuts to get to Paradise. The data in this research is gathered from several different authentic websites, Barelvis' websites as well as surrounding observations. I recommend researching further on this topic to investigate in-depth about the matter.
