| dc.description.abstract | Information technology has introduced an unavoidable transformation that has fundamentally altered the way in which individuals conduct their lives. As an outcome of social media's inception, the world has become a global commune. By utilizing secondary resources, including existing literature and data, with an emphasis on the Islamic perspective, this study seeks to assess the spiritual, psychological, and physiological impacts of social media on Muslim youths in Bangladesh. The propagation of Islam has been observed to occur through the utilization of diverse social media platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, on numerous occasions. In the contemporary era, it is undeniable that the Muslim Ummah is undergoing notable transformations, primarily influenced by the pervasive presence and influence of social networking platforms. The matter at hand concerns the persistent stigma surrounding the detrimental effects of social media. This study endeavors to shed light upon the prevailing negative impacts that social media may potentially exert on matters pertaining to religion, psychology, and physiology. Furthermore, it seeks to explore the extent to which we can address and mitigate these adverse aspects of social media. May Allah guide us in our pursuit of knowledge and understanding, and may He grant us the wisdom to discern the potential harms and benefits of this modern phenomenon. | |
