Abstract

This study explores the lives of Indian Muslims residing in India and the detriment they face on daily basis due to their identity as followers of Islam. It focuses on the role current government plays in making the lives of Muslims vulnerable. Indian Muslims today have been facing a threat to their identity, rights and existence. The rate at which the common people are being indoctrinated with the detestation of the Muslims is daunting. Hate crimes against Muslims in India are being committed fearlessly in broad day light. India’s largest minority today is an uncertain community which grows anxious about its future by each passing day. The Muslims in India today are facing social, cultural and economic discrimination. The study would trace back the issue to major historical events like the Partition of India and Pakistan. This paper takes the opportunity to highlight the work and contribution of the Muslim Freedom Fighters who have been unjustly denied recognition by the Indians. Through this research many questions like the arising need for Muslims in India to prove their nationalism, Muslims facing prejudice due to their religious identity etc. The research work highlights the issue of the Uniform Civil Code pertaining to the Triple Talaq. It would highlight the atrocities and injustices faced by the Muslims Minorities in India, the reasons for the downfall of the Muslims almost importantly suggest solutions to solve these problems.
