Women's Rights and Responsibilities in Islam with Specific Reference to Sura Nissa

Abstract

Really, my being a student of Islamic sciences right from my primary school up to the higher Diploma (Bridge to the Masters program), this is something that taught me much about this topic. In fact, women's rights and responsibilities is a longstanding, serious and controversial issue which causes instability in the world, but man-made laws, traditions and civilizations fabricated by thr human beings themseives, fall short of overcoming its challenges over the human history. Actualy, I could realizs that Islam is the only system that has solution to these challenges of the issue of the women�s rights and responsibilities through the fimal and the most perfect divine scripture of Quran and Sunnah, both of which Muslim scholars always do their level best to explore, explain and show how Islam really established women's rights and responsibilities to maintain gender justice and women empowerment. I made the work Tafseer based , using verses of Sura Nissa' translated in English and followed by comments from very original books of Tafseer together with some relevant Ahasdeeth . I used secondary sources and more qualitative analysis than the quantitative ones. I discussed all points, brought out the results and contributed a lot with my own comments at these points. Exploring the points through Tafseer of the verses of Sura Nissa' and using very original books in Tafseer made my work significant and original that added a new version to the body of knowledge. I encouraged for further future researches on the topic; for it is very crucial for the world stability, and finally, and out of acknowledgement, I thanked all who cooperated with me during the work with special mention for some very specific figures.
