Inheritance Issues Faced by the Muslim Minority in India

Abstract

This study aims to spread the awareness in Indian Muslim community regarding the problems in acquiring and distribution of inheritance. This study is useful because it refers to the 200 millions of Muslims of India, who have definitely been given minority status in India, but still their population is above 200 millions. Very few writers and scholars have paid attention to the problems these people are facing regarding Inheritance issues, so that some useful literature can be written in English language. The data is collected through questionnaires and face-to-face interviews. Most of the Muslims have misconceptions that cases of Muslims Inheritance distribution have to be settled like Hindus.
