Nilai-Nilai Akhlak dalam Surat Yusuf dan Implementasinya dalam Program Kepengasuhan di Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Quran Yogyakarta

Abstract

This study examines the moral values contained in Surah Yusuf and their implementation in the boarding care program at Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Quran Yogyakarta. The study aims to identify the moral values embedded in Surah Yusuf and to analyze the implementation of relevant moral values within the boarding care program of Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Quran. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The findings indicate that Surah Yusuf contains comprehensive moral values encompassing morality toward Allah, personal morality, and social morality. Of the nineteen moral values identified, nine core values are considered relevant and implemented in the boarding care program, namely tawhid (monotheism), tawakkul (reliance on Allah), isti‘anah (seeking Allah’s help), patience, iffah (self-restraint), honesty, forgiveness, just leadership, and birr al-walidayn (filial piety). The implementation of these values is carried out in an integrative and contextual manner through caregivers’ role modeling, habituation of worship and daily conduct, continuous guidance, as well as supervision and evaluation systems. Supporting factors include a strong Qur’anic foundation, exemplary caregivers, habituation of religious practices, and a religious and conducive pesantren environment. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include students’ diverse backgrounds, emotional fluctuations during adolescence, academic pressures and memorization targets, and limited personal mentoring. Overall, the boarding care program at Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Quran Yogyakarta is considered successful in internalizing the moral values of Surah Yusuf in shaping students’ character.
