Abstract

Nowadays, the world is facing significant sustainability challenges, and industries in developed countries are adopting strategies to address these issues through the implementation of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM). Similarly, industries in developing countries are striving to adopt GSCM practices to achieve sustainable development. This study presents a systematic literature review of GSCM practices and examines their current status in the context of Bangladesh. The study employs the PRISMA model and analyzes 70 research papers on GSCM published in Scopus- and Web of Science-indexed journals, focusing on developing countries, including 21 papers specifically related to Bangladesh. The reviewed studies identify key barriers and critical success factors influencing the implementation of GSCM, covering both theoretical and practical dimensions. Furthermore, the findings indicate that empirical research on GSCM has increased significantly in recent years. This review provides valuable insights for managers, researchers, academicians, and policymakers, contributing to a better understanding of GSCM practices in Bangladesh and other developing countries.
