Abstract
This research began when the researcher read books of Irabul Qur`an and found differences in irab between one book and another, including variations in mutaallaq dzaraf. This prompted the researcher to address this issue in a scientific study titled "Mutaallaq Dzaraf in the Holy Quran, A Grammatical Calculation Study."
The researcher will collect differences in irab mutaallaq dzaraf in Irabul Quran books, compile them, compare them, and analyze them. The goal is to determine whether these differences affect the estimated meaning of a verse in the Holy Quran. Additionally, the study will assess how many differences occur within the thirty Juz of the Holy Quran and will be divided into three main sections.
The first section is the introduction, covering the research problem, research formulation, research urgency, research limitations, research motivation, previous research, research methods, and terms of research objects. The second section discusses the rules of dzaraf in the science of nahwu, while the third section discusses the main study with the title "Mutaallaq Dzaraf in the Holy Quran, A Grammatical Calculation Study." Also includes the results and summary of the study on mutaallaq dzaraf.
The first aim of this research is to demonstrate the varied forms of differences in irab mutaallaq according to scholars. The second aim is to show the influence of irab mutaallaq differences on meaning if such differences are found. The researcher hopes that this study will provide new insights in the fields of nahwu and irabul Quran, and also contribute to the field of tafsir.
After conducting the research, it was found that the muta‘allaq (governing element) of the ẓarf (adverbial phrase) in the Qur’an, in the majority of cases, does not change the fundamental or primary meaning of the verse. Significant shifts in meaning due to differences in muta‘allaq were found in only a very small number of verses.
