Governance of Businesses or Corporate Governance (CG) can be comprehended as a set of rules and regulations, principles and guidelines, processes, and practices to ensure that the activities of a corporation or a firm are governed, directed, managed, and controlled meaningfully (Hossain, Alam, Datta, & Jones, 2018). Corporate governance can enhance organizational performance as it can increase the transparency, accountability, and responsibility, throughout an organization.
