Abstract

This study aims to uncover the techniques of textual cohesion in the Quranic story, (the story of Moses, peace be upon him, as a model), which is distributed across more than twenty chapters. To add something new to the previous linguistic studies in the field of textual cohesion in the Holy Quran, as previous studies have focused on examining one of the tools of textual cohesion or studying textual cohesion in a single chapter or a specific section in the Holy Quran. The study is divided into two frameworks: the first is theoretical, where it attempts to clarify the concept of textual cohesion and its tools, as well as the concept of story in the Holy Quran, its goals and its most prominent characteristics. The second is practical, divided into two chapters: the first branches into two practical sections addressing Reference and Repetition in order. The second chapter discusses levels of textual cohesion in light of narrative techniques, and it also branches into two sections, with the first addressing the Narrator while the other addresses Description. At the end of the research, the thesis includes the most important findings reached by the study.
